Since many of the bricks used in the structure seemed to have an over abundance of cinders and other objects in them, that I would say they may have been seconds. Interesting that these French speakers were brick makers that originally were brought South to work for Pullman when he was building his factories. I always wonder if the builders in 1922 got the bricks at a very good deal.
