In keeping with the guidelines established by the Archdiocese of Chicago during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, Sacred Heart Mission will suspend public liturgies until further notice.

Church Reopening Update – May 23, 2020

Hello Sacred Heart Family! We are in the process of forming a co-leadership team which will assist in reopening Sacred Heart for Masses. At this time we do NOT have a date when Masses will resume for our little church. We must have our plan in place and certified by the Archdiocese in order to proceed.

This will take many hands and lots of patience. If you are interested in helping out, please email karen@chicagosacredheart.org, send us a private message on our Facebook page or sign up for our mailing list and note in the last field that you are interested in helping out.

On May 13, 2020, Cardinal Cupich announced a multi-phase plan to re-open the churches within the Archdiocese. This will not be a quick or easy process. We will be learning more over the next few days.

Read more about the details of the plan here: https://www.archchicago.org/coronavirus/reopening

Located in the historic Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago, Sacred Heart Church is a beautiful little parish, home to many faithful Chicago area Catholics.

The church celebrates Mass at 4:00pm, on Saturday, and 8:30 and 10:30am, on Sunday. Join parishioners for fellowship, coffee and rolls on the first weekend every month, October through June.

If you are a parishioner and would like to see some information posted on this site, please send us a message on the Contact Us page.
